Patrick James O'Connell
I have always found it somewhat difficult to express myself in public. This was, among others, the driving force that turned me to music and performance. I express myself through my work.

The turning point for me came when I first heard the opening bars of Wagner's "Tristan": Out of the depths of a dark void – a terrible stillness – a glimmer of light awoke. The light emerged from the darkness, cast its shadows and began to grow. A light. A breath. A movement. A sound emerging out of the void: Db(aug 5) through B6/F to E7. From E7 through D7/Ab to G7. My stomach turned. Left became right. Space became time. Out of the depths of a dark void. The way was clear. .

(Et O, ces voix d'enfants, chantant dans la coupole)..

Let A = 432, Let Eb sound.
